Mount Desert Nursery School first opened opened in 1978. It is a not-for-profit organization. 100% of the proceeds raised from the 2008 MDI Marathon Art Banner Project will go to benefit this organization. Runners, friends, and family are encouraged to bid on the one-of-a-kind banners for lasting momentos and to help a worthy cause. These works of art make great corporate art as well. Banners will be available via silent auction at the pre-race expo, pasta dinner, and finish line until 1:00PM when winners wil be announced.
